Anyway, when I start Live Messenger or Skype, they find the camera device. The bad thing is that sometimes they say, that the device is in use, and cannot connect to it. This is the case right after a Windows startup, when no programs used the camera (and maybe using it). Besides if the camera is in use, a green LED light is on near the lens. The problem is I cannot find proper driver for camera in Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 on the Support Site. ![]() Im running XP Pro SP2 and use Webex and and IBM Sametime a lot. Even though I dont do a lot of video with them, it was annoying to get this error because once it occurred, the green in use light wouldnt go off. Strangely, the camera would work fine after a restart, then after quite a while (hours) start with this message, after which the green light would come on and refuse to turn off. I was actually able to turn it off through the XP Device Manager by disabling and re-enabling the camera, but as soon as Id try an app that accesssed the camera, Id get the error again and the green light would come back on.) So I cant say for sure that this was in fact the problem, but it does seem to have done the trick. My corporate IT group put their standard XP image on it, with the generic MS webcam drivers. The T400 didnt have this problem until I uninstalled the MS drivers and loaded the Lenovo drivers. But I didnt want to be yellow all the time, which for some reason happened when using the MS drivers. Anyway, I hope this is helpful to anyone else out there with similar problems.
